The Story of Kinkladze Wines
Winemaking Culture in Georgia
With over 8,000 years of winemaking history, Georgia is considered by many the birthplace of wine.
The country is home to 525 indigenous varieties, about 30 of which are commonly grown in Georgia’s 10 winemaking regions.
The most iconic part of Georgian winemaking culture is Qvevri – an egg-shaped earthenware vessel used for making, aging, and storing wine, that gives wine exceptional color and taste.
